Happy Easter !

 

Spring time in the winery should be all time the same. This year however it is different:

• The covid virus ha affected some of our staff, we had no major problems and all feel well again.

• A war in the heart of Europe is taking our breath. WE think of the Ukrainian people and hope that peace will come back soon.

• Only the vinyards look as they always look in spring time:
  – The almond tree at Frei-Laubersheimer Fels is in full blossom.
  – Our workers are happy to be sent out into the fresh air.
• Some of the team however stay back in the cellars where they take care of the 2021 vintage. They prepare bottling and are disgorging the sparkling. Business as usual.

It is time to tell you that.

the 2020 vintage has reached its optimum ripeness.
These are vivid and crispy wines well balanced with a beautiful, sustainable finesse.
